I rode a motorbike to Tha Tang early in the morning and had time to stroll around the morning market a bit. The market itself is nothing special, but the weather is pleasantly cool. About 4 kilometers past Tha Tang towards Salavan, on the left side, there is a tribal village arranged for tourists to visit. However, I found it not very interesting. It's better to see the natural areas where tourists rarely visit, like Dakchung. For me, after walking around the market, I ate pho and chatted with locals.
Then I rode to visit a hill tribe village 4 kilometers away and continued exploring the outskirts of the town. There is also a police presence here. When riding a motorbike, you should wear a helmet not only for safety but also to avoid being stopped by the police.
