Tha Tang Morning Market, Sekong Province, Laos http://www.hotsia.com > Travel Pakse Champasak > Tha Tang Morning Market, Sekong Province, Laos Tha Tang town is part of Sekong province. It is located between Pakxong, Sekong, and Salavan. Many Vietnamese have opened shops here. The town is not very big, with only a few accommodations available. There are no motorbike rentals. Accommodation costs about 300 baht per night. Tha Tang is not hot because it is close to Pakxong. Many people live here because of the cool and comfortable weather.

I rode a motorbike to Tha Tang early in the morning and had time to stroll around the morning market a bit. The market itself is nothing special, but the weather is pleasantly cool. About 4 kilometers past Tha Tang towards Salavan, on the left side, there is a tribal village arranged for tourists to visit. However, I found it not very interesting. It's better to see the natural areas where tourists rarely visit, like Dakchung. For me, after walking around the market, I ate pho and chatted with locals.
Then I rode to visit a hill tribe village 4 kilometers away and continued exploring the outskirts of the town. There is also a police presence here. When riding a motorbike, you should wear a helmet not only for safety but also to avoid being stopped by the police. Usually, they do not bother tourists much. mr.hotsia December 2010 mr.hotsia recommends hotels in Sekong Clip of Tha Tang morning market, Sekong Province 15 23 13.02 N, 106 22 50.04 E View the photo location on the globe at 15 25 44.388 N, 106 22 47.184 E
