mr.hotsia recommends hotels. I traveled by bus from the first Mekong River bridge opposite Nong Khai to get to Vientiane. At this point, there is a regular bus, no need to hire a car or rent a vehicle. It is convenient to travel into Vientiane city. Along the way, there is a large Ayutthaya boat pho restaurant where many workers eat. Check the location from the photo I took above. This restaurant serves Ayutthaya boat noodles called pho ruea and also has Hainanese chicken rice.
Everything is delicious. Pho is a noodle dish sold in Laos and Vietnam. It is very popular in Vietnam and also available in Laos, but no restaurant in Thailand sells pho. If anyone is interested in opening one in Thailand or knows a place that sells pho, please let me know so I can try it next time.
