After trying basil stir-fry dishes for a while, I liked and enjoyed every place. One of my favorites is a shop in downtown Kanchanaburi near Kanokkan.
Today I found it in Thong Pha Phum at Aunt Wiang's shop, opposite Thong Pha Phum Kindergarten, or click to see the GPS location on the picture above. This shop makes crispy pork basil stir-fry using fresh crispy pork. The pork is fried until not fully cooked, then fried again before stir-frying to make it crispy. They use dried chili. Combined with my hunger, this Thong Pha Phum crispy pork basil stir-fry instantly became one of my top favorites. Delicious, fragrant, flavorful, not too spicy, perfectly crispy pork.
