Ranong has a large Burmese community with a Burmese market selling fish. Burmese language is everywhere in the city. For accommodation in Ranong city, I recommend the newly opened Farmhouse Hotel. Bungalows cost 600 baht per night, and hotel rooms are 1200 baht. The accommodation is good with very fast wifi. Just a little further is Kala, where I stayed; they only have bungalows.
