The morning markets in Udon Thani city include several markets. The one I visited is a municipal market. The market I prefer is the one that is not indoors, where local people set up stalls along the street. What I like most are the locals who bring fish and vegetables they have gathered, raised, or caught to share and sell at the market. This kind of market has the vibrant atmosphere I really enjoy. Because I needed to travel from Udon to Vientiane, I flew from Chiang Mai to Udon, stayed one night in Udon Thani, then took a bus from Udon to the capital city of Vientiane before continuing my journey to Vietnam.
