P'Gun Joins the Summer Camp at Songkhla Cadet Star: A Real Experience from mr.hotsia

When talking about “summer camp,” many recall outdoor activities, games, and new friends. But for me, mr.hotsia, experiencing the summer camp atSongkhla Cadet Starwas more than just fun. It included challenges, a way of life, and stories that revealed the beauty of Songkhla from perspectives I had never seen before.

Songkhla, a southern province known by many as an important port city or a place with beautiful beaches and fresh seafood, this time I experienced Songkhla in another dimension through the summer camp of the Cadet Star. This camp is not just an activity for teenagers but a learning experience in discipline, meditation training, and military-style living combined with the warmth of the community.

Atmosphere and Activities at Songkhla Cadet Star

I arrived at the camp on the first morning, located amidst nature and the fresh air of Songkhla. The atmosphere was lively with the excitement of the young participants. Many looked eager and ready for the challenges. I saw the dedication of the senior staff closely supervising training in skills such as forest trekking, camping, basic first aid, and team-building activities that helped the participants truly get to know each other.

One activity that impressed me greatly was the “nature study hike” around the camp. It reminded me of exploring nature in Songkhla, which offers not only seas and beaches but also forests and many interesting natural learning sites. Anyone who has followed my travelsSea Goby Fish Net Fishing, Ranot, SongkhlaorSea Fish Net Fishing, Ranot, Songkhlawould know that the local life here is deeply connected to nature and the sea.

Lifestyle and Food at the Summer Camp

Although the camp focuses on training, I, mr.hotsia, couldn’t miss observing the food here because food is essential to fueling the camp’s fun. At Songkhla Cadet Star, besides tasting simple yet flavorful local dishes, I also learned how to cook traditional meals using ingredients from the sea and nearby gardens.

Speaking of Songkhla food, one must think of “Chanthaburi-style Pad Thai” at the Songkhla Clock Tower Walking Street, which I have recommended in my article.Chanthaburi-style Pad Thai, a Songkhla specialty at the Clock Tower Walking Street, which P'Gun says is very delicious. Its rich and aromatic spices create a similar warm and impressive atmosphere to the simple meals shared by the camp’s participants.

Travel and Personal Impressions

Traveling to Songkhla and joining this summer camp made me, mr.hotsia, feel the diversity of this province, from the bustling city of Hat Yai to the peaceful Ranot nearby. I recommend trying the crab fried rice in Ranot, which I recorded in a video.Crab Fried Rice, Ranot, SongkhlaThe freshness and deliciousness of real crab made that meal a memorable experience as much as the camp activities.

Additionally, if you have the chance, follow my video about cooking with the people of Ranot, where I captured the atmosphere of home-style cooking inCooking at Ranot, Ranot, Songkhlato see the real life of locals and better understand authentic southern flavors.

Conclusion: Songkhla Cadet Star Summer Camp from mr.hotsia’s Perspective

After putting down my pen and reflecting on my experience at the Songkhla Cadet Star summer camp, what I gained was not just fun and a sense of community but insight into the lifestyle of youth growing up here, learning discipline and responsibility, while experiencing the diverse sea, forest, and culture of Songkhla.
