Underground Water Adventure Through Phong Nha Cave, Vietnam

When talking about adventure in Northern Vietnam that still preserves true raw nature, for me, mr.hotsia, “Phong Nha Cave” is one of the most unforgettable experiences. This trip, I intended to experience the underground natural wonder hidden in Quang Binh province, which is not far from Lang Son province where I had previously stopped to rest (read about the journey inLang Son Province, Vietnam)

Arriving at Phong Nha Cave is not easy but every step is worth it. I chose to take a boat from a small pier along the Son River. The soft sunlight and flowing water created a peaceful feeling before entering the complete darkness of the cave where underground water flows through. This natural path is amazingly formed on its own. At this point, I truly felt the power of nature that remains pure and untouched.

Inside Phong Nha Cave, I had to ride a small canoe through narrow passages and large cave chambers adorned with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites millions of years old. The water inside the cave is so clear that it reflects the cave ceiling above. Every time the boat passed the cave walls, the sound of water hitting and other natural sounds demanded full attention. This atmosphere cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

Although this journey required some patience and a bit of courage because some parts were very narrow and dark, I, mr.hotsia, am confident that the memories from canoeing inside Phong Nha Cave will stay in my heart for a long time. That day, I saw many tourists excited and impressed, all feeling the same way because it was like exploring an underground world truly untouched by humans.

After leaving the cave, I stopped to taste local food nearby, which was another experience I really enjoyed in Northern Vietnam. The dishes I tried included grilled freshwater fish and fresh vegetables grown locally. The flavors were rich and fresh, replenishing my energy after the physically demanding cave canoeing.

For anyone interested in visiting Phong Nha Cave, don’t forget to prepare shoes suitable for wet and dark areas and bring a flashlight. Although guides and boats are available, caution is important because the nature here remains pristine and can be dangerous if you are not careful.

Northern Vietnam still has many interesting tourist spots such asLang Son Provincewhere I stayed and walked around the fresh market, tasting delicious local food. It’s another side of Vietnam completely different from Phong Nha Cave.

If anyone wants to see the full atmosphere of the underground adventure at Phong Nha Cave, I recommend watching the video clip I, mr.hotsia, recorded myself onUnderground Water Adventure Through Phong Nha Cave, Vietnamto see real images and a closer atmosphere.

Ultimately, visiting Phong Nha Cave is not just tourism but a new experience that allowed me, mr.hotsia, to learn and deeply absorb the power of nature. For those who love challenges and nature, I believe this place will be one of the must-visit destinations at least once in a lifetime.
