Vietnam Desert: A Unique Travel Experience with mr.hotsia

When talking about Vietnam, many people might think of the vast desert stretching across this land. This is the “Vietnam Desert,” a place I, mr.hotsia, had the chance to visit personally and want to share its fascinating charm, challenges, and the lively stories it holds. It’s not just dry and barren but full of life and memorable experiences.

The Vietnam Desert is located in the central region of the country, which is quite different from other provinces such as Lang Son Province, where I have traveled before, featuring high mountains and the Ky Cung River flowing through.Lang Son Province, VietnamOr even Nha Trang sea beach, a beautiful beach in southern Vietnam.Nha Trang sea beachBut the Vietnam Desert offers a much more unique and challenging atmosphere.

Travel route and real atmosphere from the field

Traveling to the Vietnam Desert is not easy for ordinary travelers because the route passes through plains and some parts are pure sand. I, mr.hotsia, spent time traveling by car from nearby towns into the desert, passing scenery that changed from lush green forests to the golden yellow of sand and dry soil. Along the way, local villagers traveling by horse and small carts could be seen, showing a simple and natural local atmosphere.

Evening at the Vietnam Desert is the most beautiful time. The soft sunlight shines through the sand grains, creating beautiful shadows and patterns that made me pick up my camera to capture the atmosphere. Although the heat remains, the desert breeze helps to feel fresher and more relaxed.

An Unmissable Experience

One of my favorite things, as mr.hotsia, is riding a jeep up to the highest sand dune to see the vast desert view stretching to the horizon. This moment made me feel like I was back in ancient times, where nature was still simple and truly peaceful. From this point, I witnessed a breathtaking sunset that took my breath away, accompanied by the whispering wind passing through the sand grains, blowing away all the travel fatigue.

Besides the natural beauty, the Vietnam Desert also has an interesting local lifestyle, such as animal husbandry, dry farming, and local markets with spicy and fresh traditional food. I tried grilled button squid, one of Vietnam’s famous seafood dishes, which can be found in nearby towns. I recorded a video of eating grilled button squid onmy YouTube channelin case anyone wants to see it for real.

Connections to Nearby Attractions

For travelers interested in diverse experiences in northern and central Vietnam, I recommend stopping byLang Son Provincewhich is not far from the desert. Here, there are interesting mountains and temples. Or if you like the atmosphere of a city with beautiful lakes like Da Lat, you can also check out information and reviews from my articleBuddhist Temples in Da Lat Cityas well.

For traveling in Vietnam, I often use efficient transport stations such as Vinh Long bus station, which is a key transfer point in the Mekong Delta.Read details about Vinh Long bus stationto plan your trip more conveniently.

Travel Tips

If you plan to visit the Vietnam Desert, I, mr.hotsia, recommend preparing your body for hot weather and strong sunlight. Bring enough drinking water and sun protection gear such as hats, sunglasses, and good sunscreen. It’s best to choose times when the weather is not too hot, such as early morning or evening.

Accommodations around the area may not be very luxurious but there are warm and friendly guesthouses and homestays. I have stayed in similar places in other provinces such asRecommended hotels in Viet Tri citywhich is an example of comfortable, affordable lodging with good service, suitable for budget travelers.

Summary of Impressions from mr.hotsia

The Vietnam Desert is not a destination that ordinary tourists easily choose, but for those who love adventure and experiencing atmospheres different from beaches or mountains, this desert is an answer that won’t disappoint. I, mr.hotsia, learned that traveling is not just about reaching a place but truly experiencing the lifestyle and nature around it.

Visiting the Vietnam Desert also gave me the chance to try unique local food and meet kind and friendly locals. If anyone is interested, you can watch my travel and food tasting videos atVietnam Desertto enhance your excitement before the real trip.

Finally, I would like to say that Vietnam still has many corners waiting for us to explore. The beauty and cultural diversity I, mr.hotsia, have experienced will always inspire everyone to travel and open their hearts to new experiences.
