Exploring Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province, Vietnam with mr.hotsia
When talking about Vietnam, many people often think of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, or Nha Trang. But for me, mr.hotsia, experiencing the cityTuy Hoain Phu Yen Province is a unique and impressive experience. This city is not a popular destination for foreign tourists but is full of the charm of local community life and unspoiled natural beauty.
Traveling to Tuy Hoa
I arrived in Tuy Hoa by bus from a nearby city after just leaving Lang Son Province,Lang Son Province, Vietnamwhere I had stayed and strolled through a fresh market not long ago. The atmosphere felt completely different. Tuy Hoa is a coastal city with a small airport and a simple bus station. Traveling here is convenient for those who enjoy slow-life tourism.
City Atmosphere and Lifestyle
Tuy Hoa is a city that still preserves the simplicity of fishing life very well. People here live unhurriedly. Walking along the pier, you will see small boats lined up and locals preparing to go out to sea in the morning. The scent of the sea and the fresh breeze from the coast made me feel incredibly relaxed.
The morning market here is another spot I really liked because it offers fresh seafood from button squid to large shrimp and various kinds of fish. I tried Vietnamese-style grilled button squid, which had a rich flavor and fragrant spices unlike anywhere else (for those interested, check out theVietnamese Grilled Button Squid video)
Beaches and Nature Around the City
Tuy Hoa has beautiful beaches, clear sea water, and clean white sand. It is not as crowded with tourists as Nha Trang,Nha Trang sea beachbut the atmosphere is just as wonderful. The sunset scenes I witnessed here were so beautiful that I had to stop and take many photos. The long beach is perfect for walking or cycling to relax.
Local Food and Must-Try Flavors
Those who love Vietnamese chicken biryani should not miss trying the local dishes here. Enjoy the authentic Vietnamese-spiced chicken biryani and fresh seafood served at very reasonable prices. I also had the chance to try and film some clips for those who enjoy watching food videos.Vietnamese Chicken Biryanito get ideas before coming here.
Relaxing in Tuy Hoa
Tuy Hoa does not have many large luxury hotels but offers small, cozy guesthouses at affordable prices, perfect for backpackers like mr.hotsia. I chose to stay at a small guesthouse near the morning market, convenient for walking around and finding food in the morning. Most importantly, the host was very kind and provided service like close family.
Connecting with Vietnam on a Broader Scale
If you love deep travel experiences and want to truly experience Vietnamese life, I recommend stopping by Tuy Hoa. Besides enjoying the coastal beauty and fresh seafood, you can also connect your journey to other interesting provinces such asLang Son Provincein the north, or if you want to visit peaceful and beautiful Buddhist temples, you can plan to continue totemples in Da Lat cityas well.
Summary of Experience from mr.hotsia
