Along Danang Bay, there are affordable hotels by the beach, not many but continuously available.
Along Danang beach, there is a road separating the sea and the hotels. The hotels are not large, about four to five stories high, with 10-20 rooms. The sea view rooms with beautiful ocean views cost only 600 baht per night. This price is for a twin room. When I visited Danang, I stayed at Hai Au hotel. Besides seeing the beautiful curved sandy beach, there are seaside activities of Danang locals who drag nets along the shore during high tide, catching small fish, squid, and cuttlefish. They then set up plates to sell them along the road by the beach.
You can see the coastal fishermen's way of life by staying by the sea like this. Another option is to stay in the city area, where there are large hotels with about a hundred rooms and many big hotel chains. The highlight of staying in the city area is being able to walk and observe the lifestyle of Danang locals in the city. For tourists, walking along the river with its beautifully lit bridges at night is enjoyable.
