- Xôi) is hot steamed sticky rice topped with shredded pork. Walking to another shop, I found Banh cuon cha nong, grilled pork served with Vietnamese rice crackers. For breakfast, I had two dishes. For lunch, I went down to eat fried rice at a restaurant in front of the hotel. The fried rice with butter was delicious. For dinner, I had a full meal at a street-side restaurant with freshly cooked dishes including stir-fried tofu and boiled chicken. People here prefer freshly cooked hot food. Sticky rice is steamed with various colors, not just white. They use pineapple leaves and vegetables

Other ingredients include mung beans mixed with black beans, beans, fish meat, corn, mango, durian, etc. Many delicious combinations are possible such as bacon, eggs, and sticky rice. The food of the Lai Châu people is mostly hot. I think in cold cities, cold food is not tasty. The dish I was most impressed with in this city was fried rice, professionally made with butter, fragrant and delicious, dry fried with pickled mustard greens.
