After enjoying Lang Son grilled duck, I researched and found that the leaves in the stomach are Chinese starfruit leaves, grown in southern China, northern Vietnam, and Nan Province of Thailand. In Vietnamese, it is called "Mắc_mật" with properties to treat dandruff. A common dish I saw is noodle soup with water hyacinth, which is noodle soup with fried fish and vegetables similar or actually water hyacinth. In Vietnamese, it is called "Bún Cá" or Bun Ga, small white vermicelli noodles with fried fish and vegetables, colorful and appetizing, with a video clip included.
In this city, there is a delicious fried rice shop next to the hotel where I stayed, Hoang Son Hai Hotel. This shop sells very tasty Vietnamese-style fried rice, stir-fried noodles, and the latest delicious discovery is raw egg soup. They remove the egg white, leaving only the yolk to float in the soup. The soup is fragrant and sweet, and the yolk has no fishy smell. What impressed me most about visiting Lang Son was eating grilled duck. I found it delicious and not too greasy, although not as familiar as eating MK grilled duck.
But it was a unique duck-eating experience.
