Tra Vinh Travel from Soc Trang to Tra Vinh
Traveling from Soc Trang to Tra Vinh There are several ways to get to Tra Vinh city. You can take a bus from Ho Chi Minh City or from Can Tho. Before traveling, I was in Soc Trang city. I chose to cross the Co Chien River.

To reach this province, I rode a motorcycle over 20 kilometers to the river mouth town, then took a boat across to the river sandbar. On the boat, there were only Vietnamese locals, no tourists. From the sandbar, I rode a motorcycle to the other side of the sandbar and took another boat. The river here is very wide, several kilometers across, with no bridges, so boats are the only way to cross. Stepping onto the riverbank means you have arrived in Tra Vinh province. Then I took a bus into Tra Vinh city center.
Some locals brought bicycles on board by placing them on the motorcycle rack. When they reached their destination, they simply took them off and rode away. There was a small fee for bringing the motorcycle on the boat, but it was not expensive. What impressed me most was riding the motorcycle into the remote countryside and seeing the authentic local lifestyle. On the boat, there were only Vietnamese people traveling back and forth. Many wore Vietnamese hats, including students in white áo dài uniforms. This journey allowed mr.hotsia to reach the very end of the Mekong River as planned.
These are two river branches splitting from the Mekong River. The place I visited is the river mouth before it flows into the sea. mr.hotsia January 2012 boat from Soc Trang to Tra Vinh Vietnam Boat from Soc Trang crossing the Mekong River to Tra Vinh province.
