เมืองบุญเหนือ ระหว่างทางจากอุดมไชยไปพงสาลี จะผ่านเมืองใหญ่สำคัญก่อนถึงพงสาลี 1 ชั่วโมง เมืองนี้ชื่อเมืองบุญเหนือ (Boun Neua) เป็นแยกที่ขึ้นหากตรงขึ้นไปเป็นชายแดนจีน เลี้ยวขวาเป็นเมืองพงสาลี บุญเหนือเป็นชื่อเมืองของแขวงพงสาลี มีสนามบินด้วย มีเกรสเฮ้าส์ เอทีเอ็ม เมืองใหญ่ลองจากพงสาลี แต่ไม่ใช่เมืองในหุบเขา
ผมเดินทางจากอุดมไชยผ่านเมืองบุญเหนือช่วงเย็น ลงไปเดินเล่นตรงสถานีขนส่งบุญเหนือไม่นาน รถประจำทางผ่านเมืองนี้รถหยุดส่งคนและขนของลงจากรถประมาณ 10-15 นาที เดินแถวๆสถานีได้ นักท่องเที่ยวหลายคนมาเที่ยวเมืองบุญเหนือ พักเกรสเฮ้าส์ และต่อไปยังหมู่บ้านห่างไกลทางเหนือ mr.hotsia เที่ยวสะใจ มีนาคม 2556
