เมืองหวีทัน (Vi Thanh) จังหวัดโห่วยาง (Hau Giang) เวียดนาม ตอนอยู่ที่จังหวัดเกิ่นเทอผมเจอแตงโมเหลือเยอะมาก เนื่องจากอยู่ในช่วงใกล้เทศกาลเต็ดเวียดนาม หรือตรุษเวียดนาม แต่ผมก็ยังไม่ได้ลองกินแตงโมเหลืองสักที มาที่เมืองหวีทัน มีโอกาสไปเดินตลาดเห็นชาวบ้านเอาแตงโมมานั่งวางขาย เลยลองชิมดูครับ แตงโมเหลืองนี่ผมกินแล้วไม่หวานอร่อยเหมือนแตงโมงแดงๆ มันออกจืดชืด ไม่น่ากินครับ
ผมว่าที่เขานิยมมาวางขายเพราะเป็นผลไม้มงคลสีเหลือง ผมเห็นในเทศกาลเต็ดเวียดนาม บ้าน ร้านค้า โรงแรม เขาจะเอาแตงโมเหลืองมาตั้งหน้าบ้านเพื่อไหว้บรรพบุรุษประมาณนั้น นอกจากแตงโมงเหลืองยังมีส้มโอที่รัดให้เหมือนน้ำเต้า มาวางในวัดเทศกาลนี้ด้วย mr.hotsia มกราคม 2555
