หลายปีก่อนที่ผมเดินทางมาเที่ยวเว้ ถนนคนเดินเว้ยังไม่มี ตามริมแม่น้ำหอมมีคนมาขายของเล็กๆน้อย ในมุมมืดข้าวสวนสาธารณะ กลับมาเว้ในวันนี้มีถนนคนเดินเว้ (Hue walking street) เลียบไปตามแม่น้ำหอม (Perfume River) ยาวประมาณ 300 เมตร เป็นร้านขายเสื้อผ้าส่วนใหญ่ มีชาวเวียดนามวัยรุ่นเดินซื้อของ มีร้านขายนักท่องเที่ยวด้วยที่นี่เขาชอบร้านที่เอาตัวหนังสือติดไปในขวดแก้วเป็นชื่อต่างๆ ราคาขายอันละ 30 บาท ไปสั่งทำเป็นชื่อเราหรือชื่อแฟนเป็นที่ระลึกสิ
จุดเด่นของถนนคนเดินเว้ทีผมว่าจะพัฒนาในขั้นตอนต่อไปคือเริ่มมีงานฝีมือวาดรูปในแบบของเวียดนามริมแม่น้ำ ผมว่ามันเยี่ยมดี เพราะเสื้อผ้าซื้อบ้านเราก็ได้ แต่ที่งานฝีมือต้องเฉพาะพื้นที่ครับ ที่ถนนคนเดินยังมีร้านขายผลไม้แกะสลักรูปต่างๆ ขายให้กินไม่ได้ขายเอาไปประดับนะ เห็นเขาทำสวยมากจนไม่กล้างับเลยครับผม mr.hotsia มกราคม 2556
