Traveling from Phnom Penh is the most convenient, or you can transfer from Kampong Cham. Sometimes travelers come from Siem Reap and transfer at Kampong Cham. The important junction is the Snow junction; if coming from Phnom Penh, turn right to Mondulkiri, or left to Kratie, Stung Treng, Ratanakiri. You can transfer at this junction but finding a vehicle is not easy; you must take local transport like a fully loaded van. For the return trip from Mondulkiri, you can take the morning bus from Sen Monorom to Phnom Penh.
If you want to continue to Kratie, you must transfer at Snow junction, then take a van to Kratie and transfer to Stung Treng or Ratanakiri. From Stung Treng, you can also take a bus to Pakse, Laos, with two daily trips. If traveling from Mondulkiri to Siem Reap, I recommend transferring at Kampong Cham. Besides Soraya company, other companies also provide bus services to Sen Monorom, Mondulkiri.
I don't remember the company name, but the bus stops near the market next to the Soraya bus queue. The buses have air conditioning. If your schedule is fixed, it's best to buy the ticket in advance.
