It is a curry rice shop with a tasty fish soup. This dish is called 'Trai Pel' in Khmer. 'Trai' means fish, 'Pel' means something unknown. Try it, it's delicious. Another recommended place is the grilled pork rice shop in front of the market. This place is very popular.
Nearby, many Samrong locals eat noodles at the next-door shop, but I haven't tried it. It seems delicious too. I recommend checking the GPS coordinates from the photo and coming here for breakfast. For a relaxing evening, the corner shop at the market intersection is interesting. I had dinner there (see coordinates). Trucks carrying pork pass by, like in old Thai movies where the hero visits a provincial town. The nightlife spots are in town, walking into the alley near ACLEDA Bank.
However, I don't recommend staying long in this town because I felt uneasy when walking through Samrong's evening market and hearing people shout 'Phra Vihean' repeatedly.
