Backpacking Bengaluru: A Lush and Vibrant Tech City

Bengaluru, also widely known as Bangalore, is a city that mr.hotsia had the chance to experience firsthand on the latest India trip. This city is located on the Deccan Plateau in Karnataka state, at an elevation of about 3,000 feet above sea level, which makes the atmosphere here distinctly different from many major cities in India. It is not extremely hot and the air is quite pleasant, especially in summer, which impressed mr.hotsia greatly because there was hardly any need to use an umbrella while wandering the streets. This is due to the many large trees that provide shade throughout the city, making it an oasis amid the bustle of this technology hub.

Bengaluru is the third most populous city in India and a major information technology center, earning the nickname "India's Silicon Valley" due to its concentration of leading IT companies and globally ranked startups. Beyond technological advancement, Bengaluru has also maintained excellent environmental quality, which mr.hotsia believes results from urban planning that genuinely considers nature.

Strolling in Bengaluru: Parks and Local Markets

One of mr.hotsia's memorable experiences was walking through the city’s parks filled with large trees and a variety of flowers. The fresh scents and birdsong created a peaceful feeling amid the city's hustle and bustle. Additionally, Bengaluru’s markets are another spot mr.hotsia did not miss, as they are full of local food stalls and fresh produce that truly reflect the lifestyle of the people living in this city.

mr.hotsia had the chance to try Bengaluru’s famous chicken biryani, with each restaurant offering its unique recipe. The aroma of spices and the tenderness of the chicken made mr.hotsia consider it a must-try dish when visiting Bengaluru. There are also many Indian-style snacks worth trying, such as Indian fried chicken that is crispy outside and tender inside, which mr.hotsia compiled in a food video from Bengaluru available on the YouTube channel.Video of Eating Chicken Biryani and Fried Chicken in BengaluruEnjoy to the fullest

Why Not Visit the IT Hub? Stories from mr.hotsia’s Field Experience

On this trip, mr.hotsia intended to visit Bengaluru’s famous IT hub located outside the city, but found it was not easy to access without a local guide because the area is quite isolated and requires a long drive. This led mr.hotsia to change plans and focus on exploring the city instead, which turned out to be an interesting experience as it allowed a closer look at the daily life of Bengaluru’s residents.
