The easiest way to get here is by renting a car for a day, or like me, take a bus and get off 15 kilometers before, then take a taxi. On the way back, I took a taxi to Denpasar for 180,000 Rupiah. So I think renting a car is probably cheaper for touring. Uluwatu Temple focuses on stunning cliff views. Be careful of monkeys—they will grab your glasses, and staff have to exchange food to get them back. These monkeys take your glasses and demand payment for photos. I'm not joking—I saw two pairs of glasses taken, and I was almost grabbed on the head for my hat.
On the way to the temple, there is a large Vishnu statue of Bali located in southern Kuta, 15 kilometers before Uluwatu Temple. Actually, there is a bus from Denpasar city center to the end of the line for 3,500 Rupiah or about 10 Baht. The bus stops in town or you can board at bus stops. Bali buses have a raised platform for boarding, so you must use a special staircase prepared. The large Vishnu statue requires an entrance fee of about 400 Baht. There are several performances, but I did not enter. This photo was taken from outside the entrance.
I continued by bus straight to Uluwatu Temple. Mr.Hotsia recommends hotels in Bali and the best areas to stay. Uluwatu Temple, Bali. Monkeys at Uluwatu Temple.
