I arrived at Lake Toba and found Nile fish called 'Mila' here. It matches what I read before that Nile fish is called Mila, and Japan once gave Thailand 50 fish which were bred successfully. Indonesia also has Nile fish that look like ours and are also called Mila fish. I don't know the origin. At Lake Toba, you can choose fish for about 10 baht each, I think. Besides this, locals here often eat fish caught from Lake Toba.
They sell fish at the market in Parapat on Saturdays. In Medan city, I saw a satay restaurant called SATE PADANG, which has a yellowish sauce that seems to contain some starch. It's curry-flavored, not the black satay sauce I had in Bali. I tried SATE PADANG and found it delicious in a different way. The sauce is hot and helps sweat out well. For other meals, I relied on a fried chicken shop near my accommodation. They serve fried chicken and stir-fried morning glory, very tasty. Mr.Hotsia Enjoy Your Trip
