Located at kilometer marker 2, or Kilometer 2, on the southern route to Champasak. The bus fare from Pakse to Ubon is 60,000 kip or 240 baht per person. The trip takes 3 hours. The first trip departs at 8:30 AM. The afternoon trip departs at 3:30 PM. There is no advance ticket booking; if you plan to travel on a certain day, buy the ticket that day. Most buses are full. If traveling on the 3:30 PM trip, buy tickets before noon at Pakse International Bus Terminal.
Besides buses to Ubon Ratchathani Province, there are also buses to Bangkok and Cambodia. The bus to Cambodia departs at 7:30 AM, arrives at Stung Treng at 1:00 PM, and continues through Kracheh, Kampong Cham, Phnom Penh. This bus from Pakse goes all the way to Siem Reap, arriving at 9:30 PM. This route is ideal for tourists visiting Pakse, Laos who want to continue to the Angkor Wat World Heritage site.
