Recommended accommodations in Pyin Oo Lwin: Bravo Hotel, a city-center hotel chosen by mr.hotsia

Speaking of Pyin Oo Lwin, a small peaceful town in Mandalay Region, where I, mr.hotsia, had the chance to experience the authentic lifestyle and atmosphere of Myanmar. This town has a unique charm, and choosing the right accommodation is key to making the trip perfect.

I stayed at Bravo Hotel, located in the heart of Pyin Oo Lwin, right next to the city clock tower. This location is very convenient for walking around the town and nearby markets. Importantly, the hotel owner speaks good English and provides warm, neighborly service.

The accommodation price is about 1,000 baht per night, which is quite affordable for staying in such a charming town. Additionally, the laundry service here is inexpensive and fast, suitable for travelers seeking convenience.

A highlight that impressed me greatly was the hotel's breakfast restaurant on the rooftop. You can enjoy a 260-degree view of Pyin Oo Lwin. The morning atmosphere while having breakfast with a beautiful view of this small town is something I highly recommend everyone to experience.

Recommended accommodation zones in Pyin Oo Lwin

Actually, Pyin Oo Lwin has two main accommodation zones. I will share my experience with you.

The first zone is the downtown area near the clock tower. This area has markets selling souvenirs especially for tourists. The environment is suitable for those without a vehicle because everything is within walking distance. Westerners and Thai tourists often choose to stay here because it’s convenient for strolling, shopping, and finding food.

The other zone is near the Pyin Oo Lwin Flower Garden, or National Kandawgyi Gardens, a large and famous botanical garden in the town. Hotels in this zone are usually large, with spas and massage services. It’s suitable for tourists with private cars or those who can hire horse carriages to tour the garden and town easily. I noticed many Westerners choose to stay here for the peaceful atmosphere and closeness to nature.

If you enjoy walking through flower gardens and riding horse carriages around town as I recommended inthis articleI suggest choosing to stay in this zone to fully enjoy the garden tours and town atmosphere.

Internet and breakfast at the hotel

The internet here is quite good. Most hotels in Pyin Oo Lwin offer free WiFi that is faster than in Mandalay city. I personally found it very convenient for communication and planning daily trips.

Breakfast at hotels in Myanmar is usually quite similar, consisting of bread, bananas, jam, and instant coffee with hot water for tea. I find this simple taste charming in its own way, even though fresh coffee is not served. If you want to try fresh coffee in Mandalay, I recommend reading the articleFood in Mithila Townthat I wrote before. There are several interesting coffee shops.

Reasons I still choose to stay at Bravo Hotel

Although there are many hotels to choose from in Pyin Oo Lwin, Bravo Hotel remains my top choice because of its convenience to markets and important city spots, the friendly atmosphere from the hotel owner, and the beautiful city view from the rooftop. This place is perfect for travelers who want to truly experience the lifestyle of Pyin Oo Lwin.

If anyone is interested in booking this accommodation, I recommend booking online in advance to get a better price than booking directly at the hotel. Click to book now and don’t miss this great opportunity.

Experience the lifestyle and beauty of Pyin Oo Lwin with mr.hotsia

Pyin Oo Lwin is a town full of tranquility and the charm of the former British colonial era. Here you will see old houses, Chinese temples, and beautiful flower gardens. There is also the unique horse carriage ride that I don’t want you to miss, as it is the best way to see the town and botanical gardens.Read more about horse carriage tours in Pyin Oo Lwinhere

If you visit this town, don’t forget to try the local food which is tasty and diverse, and stroll through the central market area where you can truly see the daily life of Burmese people.

For me, mr.hotsia, relaxing in the simple atmosphere of Bravo Hotel and walking around this charming town is a memory I will always keep in my heart.
