Hello to all readers, I am mr.hotsia sharing my personal travel experience in Mongyawng, a small town in Myanmar. Although there is little information about it on travel maps, it is full of local charm and natural beauty that is rare to find nowadays.

Before talking about the Myanmar girls in Mongyawng, let me describe the atmosphere of this town. Mongyawng is located in Kachin State, an area I have visited before when traveling to the source of the Irrawaddy River at Myitsone (read more atKachin State). Traveling to Mongyawng is not easy because it is still a quiet town that maintains a traditional lifestyle. Most roads are still dirt and gravel, but this allows me to deeply feel the authenticity of Burmese life.

Upon arriving in Mongyawng, the first thing I noticed was the local people, especially the Myanmar girls here. They have a unique and simple yet charming beauty. It looks like a life that still preserves the naturalness and cultural ties of the Burmese people. I had the chance to talk and interact with many Myanmar girls at the local market and along the way while riding a motorcycle around the town.

The market in Mongyawng is a gathering place for villagers selling agricultural products and local handicrafts. The atmosphere is lively and genuinely local, not a tourist market decorated to attract visitors like in big cities I have been to. Here you will see Myanmar girls wearing simple traditional costumes selling vegetables, fruits, or homemade local foods such as grilled sticky rice, tea, and Burmese sweets with unique flavors.

I remember once sitting and talking with a Myanmar girl named 'Myaw' at the market. She told me about her simple daily life and her love for her hometown here. Although it lacks the conveniences of big cities, she said the peace and naturalness of Mongyawng make her love this place very much.

Besides the lovely and friendly Myanmar girls, the food in Mongyawng also impressed me a lot. The local dishes use fresh ingredients from the surrounding nature, whether local vegetables, river fish, or sticky rice cooked over a fragrant charcoal stove. I tried the chicken curry which was rich in flavor and not overly sweet like in big cities, and the Burmese tea which was fragrant and smooth, perfectly completing the travel experience.

Mongyawng is not just about Myanmar girls and markets but also beautiful nature and a simple, peaceful lifestyle. It is ideal for those wanting to escape the hustle of big cities and experience the real life of Burmese people.

If you like large freshwater lakes, I recommend stopping byIndawgyi Lakein Kachin State, not far from Mongyawng. There you will see the beauty of nature and the lifestyles of the Red Tai, Shan, and Kachin people who still preserve their culture and environment well, especially in winter when many bird species come to visit.

For traveling to Mongyawng, I suggest preparing for a somewhat challenging route and renting a motorcycle or using local transport for convenience. Most importantly, don't forget to bring a face mask because the roads are still dusty, similar to what I experienced in nearby Nyaung-U (Nyaung-U).
