Pathein is a lively city with a market along the Irrawaddy River that I, mr.hotsia, recommend everyone to experience. This market is unlike typical tourist markets because it is a place where local people genuinely come to exchange and trade fresh goods and local food energetically. The early morning atmosphere here is filled with bargaining sounds and the aroma of freshly cooked food.
