On the way back around 9:00 AM, the motorcycle driver took me to eat local food in a nearby village. The driver, whom we hired for the day, also covered toll fees and food expenses for us. For this breakfast, I ate a local dish similar to Khao Soi with boiled egg. Just look at the appearance. I found it quite tasty. I also had coffee here. Coffee in Mandalay is not usually fresh brewed; they only provide instant coffee sachets. The Burmese noodles from Amarapura were served with lime, fresh vegetables, coriander, and finely sliced long beans. I mixed everything together and ate it all at once. I think it resembles Northern Thai Khao Soi with coconut milk. Quite delicious.
