Champion Coffee offers fresh coffee at 30 baht per cup. When I wrote this, I was at this shop. Fancy restaurants serve dishes at 70 baht each, not expensive and portions are generous. Myanmar food is affordable but accommodation is a bit pricey. The morning market in Meiktila looks interesting with goods laid out on the ground in a style I like. There are food and snacks sold at low prices, perfect for walking around tasting in the market. I also enjoy trying food from various shops. I think the food in this city is tastier than in some other cities. Try ordering sweet and sour stir-fry, it’s very delicious. The restaurants sell food at reasonable prices, making this city a paradise for me.
I recommend the roast duck restaurant I visited. Walk past the coconut pancake shop at the traffic light, then a little further on the left side is a Chinese restaurant. They cook delicious food and charge reasonable prices. They serve grilled dishes, Chinese food, and Burmese food. Another favorite place for sweet and sour stir-fry is a roadside restaurant on the main road, turn right in front of the temple towards Honney Hotel.
