There are about 5 places I have information on, prices start at 30 USD. Cheaper rooms are not available to tourists. I recommend staying at Honey Hotel, located in town, easy to walk around, with a view of Meiktila Lake. There are buses from here to Taunggyi (passing the Inle junction). Hotels in Meiktila usually include breakfast. Some hotels have cheaper rooms but they only sell to locals, not tourists. Accommodation in Meiktila (Meiktila)
There are guesthouse options too, but I didn’t check them out. I chose to stay in town for convenience, easy access to food, safety, and transport.
