This restaurant serves fresh coffee and delicious food. The owner is a lovely Tai Yai woman whose father is a photographer (I even asked for her photo to post on the website). Taunggyi has many street food stalls selling Burmese food. The owner is usually there at night and speaks very good English. This restaurant is always full, with government officials, military, and police sitting at several tables when I visited. Heart Beat Restaurant opens around 9:00 AM as a coffee shop, serves lunch during the day, and you can drink beer there at night.
