Then I asked for a blessing and a travel amulet from Phra Ajarn Somnuek at Rong Bon Temple for safe travels throughout the AEC. He blew on my head and hands with a gold leaf, telling me to succeed in my aspirations. Regarding the lifestyle of the local people in Nakhon Si Thammarat, villagers like to raise fighting bulls to compete in bullfighting arenas. Each household ties and wraps the bulls' horns carefully. This is another way of life in Nakhon Si Thammarat. I also saw many homes raising red-whiskered bulbuls hanging in cages in front of their houses. In the morning, when I walked with the monks collecting alms, I heard birds singing along the way.
The villagers live far apart and raise bulls. Food is sourced naturally. Looking at the food offered to the monks, fish is the main protein. Walking with the monks, I observed the villagers' way of life as they gave alms. Then I made stir-fried basil with grilled pork from Trang city to offer for the monks' meal at the temple. In the evening, I returned to Trang and stayed at Eco Inn hotel for 900 baht per night. For me, this was expensive; I should stay at a place costing no more than 500 baht per night. The next morning, I walked around Trang town again and ate dry fish noodles in front of Thamrin Hotel.
