Hak Jai Dee Chumphon Mountain Coffee: The peace and aroma I experienced myself

Hello, I'm mr.hotsia. Today, I will take everyone up to experience the coffee atmosphere on the mountain in Chumphon, a province I often visit as it is a gateway to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan islands. But this time, I intend to slow down to discover something deeper and different from what I've seen before inTravel ChumphonPreviously

The journey up the mountain is not difficult. I traveled from Chumphon town by motorcycle taxi, taking about half an hour. The route is slightly winding but filled with lush green mountain views that immediately relieved my fatigue upon arrival. My destination is “Hak Jai Dee,” a small coffee shop hidden on the mountain top. The atmosphere is peaceful, with cool breezes carrying the fresh aroma of coffee beans roasted right on the farm.

This shop is not just an ordinary coffee shop. It represents the lifestyle of Chumphon that I have experienced. “Hak Jai Dee” feels like a small home where the owner carefully manages every step of coffee making—from picking fresh coffee beans from the trees, roasting them to release their unique aroma, to brewing coffee that serves every customer the true taste of Chumphon coffee.

I ordered a cup of espresso. The flavor is intense but not overly bitter, with a smooth mouthfeel and a hint of fruity notes in the coffee that balances the bitterness well. It’s perfect for those who enjoy coffee with depth, not just strong. Most importantly, every cup tells the story of Chumphon farmers who grow coffee with genuine care.

Besides coffee, “Hak Jai Dee” also offers homemade desserts to try, such as banana cake that is sweet just right and not greasy—ideal for sipping coffee while enjoying mountain views and morning mist. If you visit Chumphon and want to escape the city's hustle, I recommend spending a slow day or two here. I guarantee you will fall in love with it as I did.

Chumphon itself has many charms that I have shared in articlesTravel Chumphonincluding the fresh seafood market full of fresh ingredients. If you want to taste the famous Chumphon chicken rice, I also have a review video on my YouTube channel titledChumphon Chicken Ricewhich is another representative local dish worth trying.

For those who enjoy market atmospheres and local lifestyles, I recommend strolling aroundChumphon Night MarketHere, you will find not only fresh seafood and many snacks but also a lively meeting point for the community and international tourists visiting Chumphon in the evening.

Back at “Hak Jai Dee” on the mountain, I spent time watching the city view of Chumphon from above, hearing birdsong and the breeze through large trees. It’s a rare feeling nowadays to relax with nature and a good cup of coffee without rushing.

If you plan to visit Chumphon, I suggest adding “Hak Jai Dee” to your must-visit list. Besides enjoying excellent coffee, you will learn about Chumphon’s lifestyle from a deep and warm perspective that I, mr.hotsia, have personally experienced. Moreover, traveling and relaxing in Chumphon connects easily to various attractions such asChumphon Fresh Seafood Marketor coastal fishing boat trips in Lang Suan, Chumphon, which I have documented for you to follow.

If you love the mountain coffee atmosphere along with adventures in Chumphon as I, mr.hotsia, have shared, I guarantee this trip will be memorable for a long time.
