School Break Trip 2021: Kam and Kan Explore Phang Nga, Krabi, Phuket, Koh Yao, Pan Yee, Lee Pae, Snorkeling at Coral Reefs, Ao Nang
Hello everyone, mr.hotsia is back to share a full travel story again with the 2021 school break trip where Kam and I had the chance to travel in southern Thailand, covering Phang Nga, Krabi, Phuket, Koh Yao Yai, Pan Yee, and Lee Pae. The highlight of this trip was not only the beautiful clear sea but also the experience of snorkeling to see coral reefs, walking through local markets, and enjoying delicious food to the fullest. It was truly a trip that filled our holiday with happiness.
We started our journey in Krabi province, where Kam and I truly felt the local vibe. Krabi is not just about beautiful seas; the morning market and the night market in KrabiKrabi morning marketandKrabi night marketare the key highlights of this town. I walked around early in the morning and saw the lively lifestyle of locals selling their goods. Fresh products were perfect for food lovers like me.
If anyone stops by Krabi and wants to try local food to the fullest, I recommend visiting Cook Thevada, a famous restaurant known for its delicious stir-fried basil with rice, which I have reviewed in a video.Stir-fried Basil with Rice, Cook Thevada, Krabi Krabi foodThis is the taste: rich, spicy, and satisfying, plus it’s affordable. Besides that, there are other restaurants in the same area that are a paradise for food loversKrabi street foodto try to your heart’s content.
After a full stomach, it was time to take a boat to snorkel at Koh Yao Yai and Koh Lee Pae. These two spots impressed Kam and me a lot. The sea was so clear that we could see the coral and schools of fish swimming clearly. It felt like entering an underwater world never seen before. We also visited the Pan Yee sea gypsy village, a community located in the middle of the sea with a fascinating lifestyle. The locals still preserve their traditional way of life admirably. It was a great opportunity to learn and experience the true culture of southern people.
Krabi also has many other interesting snorkeling and island spots, such asChicken Islanda small island with beautiful views and clear water perfect for snorkeling, orPoda Islandwhich has white clean beaches and turquoise water, ideal for relaxing and taking beautiful photos.
After the sea trip, Kam and I continued to Ao Nang, a popular relaxation spot in Krabi. The evening atmosphere by the sea helped us relax and see the blend of tourists and locals living harmoniously. There are many restaurants and bars to chill at. I stopped by to taste fresh seafood and listened to the sound of the waves. It was a moment that recharged us for the rest of the journey.
For those who want to see the full atmosphere, mr.hotsia has a video of this trip. Finally, I want to say that this trip was not just about relaxation but also about learning the local community’s way of life, tasting traditional food, and seeing the natural beauty that remains perfectly preserved.
