Traveling the 3 Southern Border Provinces 9/15: Journey from Pattani to Narathiwat

My journey with mr.hotsia on this 3 Southern Border Provinces trip takes us from Pattani to the final province on the route, Narathiwat. This province may be unfamiliar to many, but for me, having experienced it firsthand, Narathiwat is a city full of charm, cultural diversity, and a simple lifestyle with stories as intriguing as other provinces in the south.

I started from Pattani using the main road connecting to Narathiwat. Along the drive, I saw stretches of lush green rice fields alternating with neatly lined Muslim houses and small local markets bustling with people. All of this made me feel the community’s strong bond with nature and a relaxed way of life.

Upon entering Narathiwat town, the first feeling mr.hotsia experienced was calmness and warmth. I strolled through the fresh market here, which is the center of local shopping. This market isn’t as large as those in other cities but is full of fresh produce, including vegetables, fruits, and seafood caught from nearby Manaw Bay. This market is like the heart of the community because besides being a trading hub, it is also a place for locals to meet and exchange news.

One experience I, mr.hotsia, highly recommend is tryingNarathiwat Beef Rice Bowlwhich is very famous in this area. The beef I tasted was tender from slow cooking, with a balanced sweet and salty sauce served with hot steamed rice, making my lunch full of happiness and satisfaction.

After a satisfying meal, I continued to a Narathiwat beef soup restaurant, another must-try dish recommended by mr.hotsia.Beef Soupwith a rich flavor from local herbs and unique spices. The broth contains tender stewed beef that melts in your mouth. It pairs perfectly with hot steamed rice or bread.

Narathiwat is not only known for its food but also has interesting tourist spots and lifestyle. I, mr.hotsia, had the chance to visitManaw Baya small, quiet beach ideal for relaxation. The locals here still live simply, with small boats lined up along the shore for fishing or paddling. The feeling here is truly relaxing and close to nature.

For getting around Narathiwat town, I drove slowly to enjoy the views. Most houses blend Muslim architecture with modern styles harmoniously. The streets are quite clean and peaceful, perfect for walking or slow driving to absorb the local atmosphere.

For those who follow me, mr.hotsia, you know I’m not just interested in tourist spots but also in exploring local food and culture. Narathiwat is another province that impressed me because it’s not just a destination but a place to truly learn about the local way of life through food and travel.

In summary, the journey from Pattani to Narathiwat from mr.hotsia’s perspective is not just a change of province but an opening to new experiences that let me discover the southern border in another light—not just a place but a charming and worthy lifestyle to preserve. I believe if you visit Narathiwat, you will fall in love with the sincerity and beauty of this local area just like I did.
