When it comes to seafood in Chonburi, everyone thinks of Bangsaen as an easy and convenient destination from Bangkok. My home in Bang Bo is not far from Chonburi, so Bangsaen has become a place that mr.hotsia often visits when craving fresh seafood and a relaxing seaside atmosphere.

This time I would like to share my experience atPakarang Restaurant BangsaenA seafood restaurant that, although large and upscale, has prices not much different from ordinary places because seafood here is sold by the kilogram. Most prices are in the same range, whether at fancy restaurants or cheap roadside stalls.

Prime Location, Beautiful View, Next to Bangsaen Beach

Pakarang is located right on Bangsaen Beach. This location is excellent for enjoying seafood while taking in the full sea view. mr.hotsia recommends going in the late afternoon, just before dusk, to experience two atmospheres at once: the bright blue sky before dark and then the evening sky with the warm lights of the restaurant.

Being right by the sea means a cool sea breeze, making it comfortable and not too hot even in the summer. This atmosphere is perfect for bringing elderly relatives or important guests. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

My usual order is the “Sea Bass” which Pakarang prepares very well. The fish is fresh, tender, and juicy with a simple but satisfying home-style seasoning. Paired with the restaurant’s spicy seafood dipping sauce, it’s the best. There are also many other options including shrimp, shellfish, crab, and squid, all fresh and carefully prepared.

Seafood prices here are not as expensive as you might think. Compared to restaurants in Pattaya or some well-known seafood spots in Chonburi, Pakarang offers great value.

After enjoying a meal at Pakarang, I usually take a walk along Bangsaen Beach to enjoy the atmosphere and people.
