The first is opposite the hotel where I stayed.

The other is on a back street. Click to see the location on the photo. Phan Rang is a small city; the main market in the city center is not very busy. Most vendors sell indoors, and there are not many street vendors selling on the ground. The other market on the back street is more traditional, called Cho Tan Tai. On the day I visited, the market was rainy, with fewer goods and people, but I liked the red ox carts pulling wagons on the street, something not easily seen elsewhere. Next to Phan Rang market, there is an elderly lady
who sells rice porridge made from boiled mung beans. Why not just call it boiled mung beans? She boils it until soft like porridge, without sugar, not sweet, but very tasty. Only 8 baht per bowl. I tried it and liked it. This was mr.hotsia's first breakfast before having grilled pork rice and coffee. Eating light today. Enjoying the trip and the food. mr.hotsia December 2013 Recommended affordable and good hotels in Phan Rang Phan Rang morning market Phan Rang morning market street view
I also wondered why fresh chickens in Phan Rang have their legs tied around their necks like this? This is the place where I ate the mung bean porridge. Strange but delicious. Why do they have to tie the neck with the legs? It looks uncomfortable.
