The restaurant at Mithapap Hotel is the top choice. The restaurants near the Navy Hotel where I ate local food are also recommended. That area is another delicious spot not to be missed. I didn’t find many curry rice shops. I walked almost all over town but didn’t find many food shops. So, I recommend the Mithapap restaurant.
At this restaurant, the owner and staff are constantly shouting to each other, which is exciting all the time. All local customers understand this well. The food I tried and want to recommend is the grilled pork skewer shop near the Navy Hotel. This place sells hot French bread, eaten with seasoned papaya salad, along with local sausages and grilled pork skewers. I think it’s delicious. Although the sausages are a bit dark, they are tasty and give the atmosphere of experiencing the local lifestyle. I ate just like the locals do.
If you travel this far, I recommend ordering local food or eating at places where locals eat. This way, we can understand how the people of Prey Veng live.
