However, since I traveled from Svay Rieng Province, I took a bus from there. Prey Veng Province still uses horse-drawn carts for transporting goods, and ox carts share the roads with cars. This province is quiet and small. I traveled to the province from Svay Rieng Province.
Take a van to Neak Leung, then rent a motorcycle there for a 30-kilometer ride. The fare is about a little over 100 baht. Actually, the normal way to get to Prey Veng town is to take a bus from Phnom Penh, either a direct bus to Prey Veng or one passing through Kampong Cham. On the way back from Prey Veng to Phnom Penh, the bus stops in front of Mittapheap Hotel (pronounced Mit-piap), where I stayed.
If planning your travel route, I recommend visiting Prey Veng Province, then continuing to Kampong Cham, and then traveling north towards Mondulkiri and Ratanakiri provinces, as this is the route to the northern region. For example, if you visit Svay Rieng, you should continue towards Ho Chi Minh City rather than backtracking to Prey Veng.
