So when I arrived and no motorcycle was available for pick-up, I walked around to find accommodation nearby. I found 3 places to stay in Ta Koew Province. I walked behind the market and stayed at Houy Meyly Guest House, a newly built hotel with
WIFI and a beautiful hotel front view. Other guesthouses I checked out didn’t seem to work well. Ta Koew is not a cold city, so air conditioning is necessary. The Khmer word for air conditioner is 'Ma Chen Ta Jie'. Simply remember 'Ma Chen' comes from 'machine' and 'Ta Jie' means cold or cool (the word 'Kra Dao' refers to a shop or nosebleed caused by heat). The price for accommodations with air conditioning is slightly higher, including the room and air conditioning.
Prices are around 10 USD or 11-12 USD, which is the standard hotel rate in Cambodia. But here, they offer free WIFI without extra charge, unlike many hotels in Thailand.
