Myitkyina is a city located in the northern province of China, which may not be well known because it is not on the main tourist route. But for me, visiting here felt like opening a new world of travel because everything remains traditional — from the fresh markets, the people's way of life, to the food that is rich with unique local flavors.

I arrived in Myitkyina in the evening after a more than 6-hour bus ride from a nearby city. The fatigue from the journey was replaced by the warm welcome from the staff at Myitkyina hotel, which, although simple, was clean and fully equipped with amenities such as private bathrooms, soft beds with clean linens, and good internet sufficient for uploading photos and writing travel notes smoothly.
