Eating Chinese chicken: Zhengxin Chicken Steak is 正新鸡排 (Zhèngxīn jī pái)
Beggar's Chicken (叫化鸡 Jiàohuā jī)

Strolling along the street enjoying authentic Chinese noodles with rich flavors beyond just ramen

When it comes to Chinese food, I, mr.hotsia, often think of the unique variety of noodle types. This time, I had the chance to travel to a province in China that is not well known for tourism but is full of delicious local food. This province is known for being a place where simple meals like rice with curry or convenient noodles are hard to find; you have to wander through alleys. But for those who love#streetfoodand#noodleslike mr.hotsia, I can say this challenge is one of the charms of this journey.

In the province I mentioned, a famous dish is “eel noodles,” made from small eels carefully prepared. Whether it’s stir-fried eel noodles with chewy soft noodles and fragrant eel or noodles with eel in a rich broth, the special thing is the extraordinary taste and fresh ingredients from the nearby South China Sea.

I, mr.hotsia, enjoy strolling through the evening market in this city, where eel noodle and stir-fried eel noodle shops line up not far from the hotel. Honestly, I walked for half an hour before finding a shop I liked, but after tasting it, I knew every step was worth it. This is the charm of my food travel that I follow.#foodieand#delicioustruly.

Authentic Chinese flavors at the morning market in Suphanburi (in China?)

Although the name sounds Thai, the Suphanburi morning market in China is not far from here. This morning market is located by a small river, similar to the Tha Chin riverside market in Thailand, but it is full of the atmosphere and flavors of traditional Chinese food. I, mr.hotsia, walked around from early dawn, seeing dozens of pig heads lined up, likely ingredients for local dishes, and fresh fermented fish carefully arranged, creating an impressive blend of lifestyle and food.

For those who love#chinesefoodand want to experience a genuine morning market atmosphere, this Suphanburi morning market is perfect. You will see the lively local people, fresh ingredient trading, and get to taste local noodles with authentic Chinese flavors. I have written about my experience here in an articleSuphanburi Morning Marketwhich I recommend you read.

Must-try snacks: Zhengxin fried chicken and Beggar's chicken

While walking around the city, I, mr.hotsia, found a famous fried chicken shop called Zhengxin Chicken Steak or 正新鸡排 (Zhèngxīn jī pái), a street food everyone must try. The first bite reveals crispy outside and tender inside chicken, marinated and fried carefully. The flavor is so balanced that I want to eat it many times. This shop is easy to find if you want to follow me; you can check the location fromZhengxin Chicken Steak shop map

Another dish I like is “Beggar's chicken” or 叫化鸡 (Jiàohuā jī), an ancient Chinese dish where the chicken is baked wrapped in clay and leaves (such as lotus or bamboo leaves) to keep moisture and flavor inside. I, mr.hotsia, have tried making it myself using the traditional method that takes 6 hours, but the taste is worth the time. This dish has tender chicken meat and a harmonious aroma of herbs baked together. If interested, you can watch the video I recorded atBeggar's chicken

Noodles and life here

I, mr.hotsia, have talked about the feeling of searching for noodle shops in this province, sometimes walking a bit far because noodle shops here are not as easy to find as in big cities. But when you find one, it’s very satisfying. The taste combines rich broth, spicy chili oil, and chewy noodles, making every bite a fulfillment of happiness in life.

If anyone reading wants to experience what I felt, I recommend starting by walking the evening market in the city with eel stir-fried noodle shops.Enjoying eel in Tanghua provincewhich I have visited, then gradually searching for hidden noodle shops in alleys. You will find extraordinary flavors and the feeling of adventure in authentic Chinese food, just as I, mr.hotsia, love and am passionate about.

Summary

China has the charm of street food full of variety and deep flavors. Traveling to eat noodles, eel, and fried chicken street food in a small, lesser-known province is an experience I, mr.hotsia, want everyone to try. It’s not just about food but about life, community ways, and memories in every bite.
