The noodle flavor in Fenghuang that I tried was not very spicy.
If you want it spicy, you can add chili yourself; chili is available at the table. They focus on sipping hot soup. The soup tastes similar to fish maw soup. Adding pork blood is common too. Using wide noodles, the flavor is slightly sour, spicy, and a bit sweet.
