Huaihua City is the first mountain gateway city at the western exit of Hunan Province (Hunan). Huaihua is 55 kilometers from Ancient Hongjiang City and southeast of Zhangjiajie City and Zhangjiajie National Park. When traveling to Zhangjiajie from Guangzhou by bus, you need to stay overnight in this city. I took a sleeper bus from Guangzhou, stayed here for one night, then traveled to Hongjiang City before heading to Ancient Fenghuang and Zhangjiajie.
Huaihua is a prosperous city. The morning fresh market is very interesting with pork, duck, chicken, fish, and many other market goods. I didn’t record many clips because I was still excited and cautious about China, worried about misunderstandings or complaints. In Huaihua, steamed buns and mantou are sold in front of the bus station, and there are also xiaolongbao. The city lights up beautifully at night.
