On the way from the border to downtown Nanning, Chinese soldiers check passports again. I personally dropped my passport at the checkpoint, but luckily other tourists saw it and warned me, otherwise it would have caused problems. When traveling, keep your passport safe and make copies of it. Taking photos of your passport with your own camera is also a good idea. Along the way, especially on the Chinese side, you will see beautiful limestone mountains on both sides of the road, creating a great travel atmosphere.
During the journey, canned fruit is distributed on the bus and it is very delicious. Try it, I still crave it now. The bus stops at a bus station around dusk, which also has buses to other provinces. You can book tickets in advance to other cities or find accommodation first.
