The passenger terminal building has 2 floors with escalators, a security control system, and a fire alarm system. In China, anyone bringing luggage onto a bus must pass their bags through an X-ray scanner for security checks, similar to boarding an airplane. I found an issue with this bus station regarding restrooms because there are none available for passengers waiting outside to board, or if there are, I could not find them. I had to enter the building through the KFC fried chicken shop.
There was a guard preventing access to the restrooms inside. When I visited, the guard was absent, so I was able to use the restroom. Alternatively, you can cross to the opposite side where there is a mall restroom available. I don’t understand why they don’t provide restrooms for passengers. When traveling in China, always locate the nearest restroom in advance for emergencies. Public restrooms in tourist cities in China generally have no issues.
However, in remote areas, it can be problematic for shy people because you might have to relieve yourself openly from the front. For ticket booking, if you don’t speak Chinese, write the Chinese characters and specify the date and time to present at the booking counter. Chinese staff who speak English can write it for you. When I bought tickets, I showed a map to the staff, spoke in English, and had them write the details for me to submit at the ticket counter.
