Eating Indian Fried Chicken and Authentic Chicken Biryani in Bengaluru (Bengaluru), India

Missing Mom, Returning Home to Bang Bo 6/15: Boat Ride to Eat Bang Bo Chicken Biryani at Faisal Pochana, Delicious Like Eating in India

The phrase “Missing Mom” for memr.hotsiais not just words but a deep feeling connected to my hometown, Bang Bo, Samut Prakan Province. There is more to discover here than many think, especially the simple travel experiences I sincerely want to share this time.

That day, I intended to take my followers to experience the riverside community atmosphere of Bang Bo, where traditional ways of life remain strong. I started by driving a small boat winding through narrow canals with clear water reflecting the blue sky. The birdsong blended with the gentle breeze made me feel like I had entered a peaceful other world.

Our destination was “Faisal Pochana,” a famous chicken biryani restaurant in Bang Bo, known for a taste many say is almost identical to the original in India. As a chicken biryani lover myself, I couldn’t miss trying it.

The chicken biryani here is not just ordinary biryani but a careful blend of spices and cooking methods. The harmonious flavors of cinnamon, cumin, and cardamom mixed perfectly with fragrant jasmine rice. The chicken is tender and juicy, scented with spices that make you want to have several more plates.

Eating it, I thought of my tripBackpacking Bengaluruin India, where I tasted authentic chicken biryani with bold and unique flavors. But at Faisal Pochana, the deliciousness is surprisingly close.

The restaurant atmosphere is simple but warm. The owner and customers feel like a big family chatting comfortably. I saw local people here still preserving their traditional lifestyle well, just like I saw inNamsi Tripin India, a place I was deeply impressed by experiencing the culture and way of life there.

After enjoying the chicken biryani, I took a walk around the Bang Bo community, discovering a small market with local foods and handmade goods. The affordable prices and nostalgic atmosphere reminded me of old cities in India like Mumbai or Chennai.Backpacking MumbaiandBackpacking Chennaiwhich I documented in previous trips.

Returning to Bang Bo this time felt like traveling back in time to childhood memories, experiencing the traditional Thai atmosphere blended with flavors influenced by distant India, a charm hard to find in big cities.

I want to invite everyone who misses home or wants a chill getaway to try visiting Bang Bo once. You will realize that slow travel, traveling with heart, and tasting food full of stories is much more valuable than just passing through.
