Backpacking India 68/129: Fresh Cow Milk Cappuccino from the Udder Nepali coffee

India through mr.hotsia's eyes is often filled with images of chaos, cultural diversity, and intense food. But this time, I will take you to a small experience hidden in a corner of India, where the province is not clearly specified. The interesting thing is the “fresh cow milk cappuccino” from the udder at Nepali coffee. This is not a fancy Western-style café but a blend of lifestyle and culture of the rural people closely connected with Nepal.

I arrived when the weather was still comfortably cool. The aroma of roasted coffee drifted from afar. The sound of people talking and the old coffee grinder gave a feeling of stepping back in time to when coffee was still a special menu for locals. This coffee brewing uses “fresh cow milk” just milked from a nearby farm, boiled with Nepali coffee, which tastes different from typical Indian coffee because Nepali coffee beans are mellow and have a unique fragrance.

I was advised by the shop owner that fresh cow milk from the udder not only provides a smooth taste but also freshness that is hard to find in big cities where many processing steps occur. The cappuccino coffee has dense and fine milk foam, naturally sweet and creamy, reminding me of the cappuccino I once tasted in Bangalore (Bengaluru) where mr.hotsia had been.Read the Bangalore travel journalBut here, there is a simple charm that is completely different.

I spent time sipping coffee at this small shop amidst the slow pace of rural life where people still smile and talk friendly. What I got here was not just coffee but an experience of the lifestyle of people living in the India-Nepal border area who still firmly preserve their traditional customs and culture.

Many may not know that India has areas bordering Nepal with communities widely speaking Nepali. The lifestyle here is similar to Nepal in terms of food and daily living, just like I experienced in the rural lifestyle of Nepal inThe story of Nepali rice winewhich I told earlier.

After sipping fresh cow milk cappuccino, I continued to a nearby local market to see the living conditions of the people. This market is not as large as in big cities but is full of fresh produce from nearby farms and fields, with local vegetables, seasonal fruits, and spices sold enthusiastically amidst friendly bargaining and chatting.

This market reminded me of the market atmosphere in Namchi city, which I wrote about inTraveling NamchiAlthough a small town, it is full of warmth and local stories. Both places convey a side of India that most people rarely see.

For those interested in backpacking and truly experiencing Indian lifestyle, tasting Nepali coffee made from fresh farm ingredients while watching rural life is a valuable and completely different experience from visiting main tourist spots.

I want everyone to open their hearts and travel to experience India from this small perspective, where fresh cow milk cappuccino from the udder will take you back to a simple yet profound way of life. And if anyone wants to see the diversity of India in big cities like Bangalore or Mumbai, you can follow my travel journals where I have captured detailed images and stories.

Trust me, India is not just about chaos and the grandeur of famous tourist attractions but also has small warm and touching stories waiting for you to discover yourself.
