Seeing Dad off to India, eating Hainanese chicken rice and crispy pork rice at the airport
Hello, I'm mr.hotsia. Today I'll share my experience at the airport before sending Dad off to India. This trip was filled with both excitement and warmth at the same time. I arrived at the airport early to ensure everything went smoothly. Of course, before Dad boarded the plane, we had to find something to eat first.
Airports in Thailand are always bustling, but for mr.hotsia, what makes the wait enjoyable is tasting delicious food here. Especially my favorite dish, “Hainanese chicken rice with crispy pork,” which is not just an ordinary meal but a perfect blend of flavors—the softness of the chicken rice combined with the crunchiness of the fried pork makes it incredibly satisfying.
There are many restaurants at the airport to choose from, but this time I picked a small eatery located in the departure zone. The atmosphere is simple and unpretentious, but the food’s taste is extraordinary. The chicken rice is cooked to fluffy perfection with fragrant ginger and garlic. The crispy pork is fried to a perfect crunch—the skin is super crispy while the meat remains juicy and tender. I ordered it with the restaurant’s special dipping sauce, which has a sweet, sour, and slightly spicy flavor that enhances the dish many times over.
While eating the chicken rice, I looked around the airport and saw people of various nationalities—tourists and airport staff—hurrying about with their own stories. It made me think of traveling in India, a country full of vibrant colors and diverse cultures.Chi River TravelIndia, where I have been, is similar—full of beautiful temples and nature. Speaking of India, although I didn’t explore every city in this trip, I always think of the variety of food and culture there. This trip sending Dad off made me want to visit again for sure. But focusing back on the airport, this plate of Hainanese chicken rice with crispy pork was so delicious it almost made me forget the waiting time.
After Dad boarded the plane safely, I had some time to walk around, enjoy the airport atmosphere, and record some clips. It’s always a unique and memorable feeling for mr.hotsia. Seeing loved ones off on a long journey, wherever they go, is a mix of care and excitement at the same time.
