The top of the stupa is made of pure gold, weighing nearly half a kilogram.

I think old stupas like this look very sacred. Lao people wear sinh skirts to pay respect to the stupa. There is a Lao language prayer for worshipping the stupa. A few kilometers before the stupa is a large lake called Bueng Wa. This lake is a recreational spot for Lao people. On Saturdays and Sundays, people come to visit in the afternoon and return home by dusk. Around the lake, there are food stalls with small huts scattered here and there, but not many. What mr.hotsia likes is the lifestyle of the local villagers here.
They raise buffaloes for farming. Children ride buffaloes back from the lake. On the right side of the lake, where the road goes up, there are beautiful rice fields. (Map of the Phra That Ing Hang - Bueng Wa travel route) It is a must to stop by this lake either on the way there or back because the atmosphere is nice. There are herds of buffaloes swimming by the lake, and villagers fish there. The rice fields are cultivated, giving a real travel vibe. After paying respect to Phra That Ing Hang, stop by to eat and drink by the lake, but don't return late as the road is lonely. mr.hotsia January 2001
