Locals who grow vegetables or tomatoes from Inle Lake bring their agricultural products to sell here in the morning. I traveled to Nyaungshwe (Nyaungshwe) by hiring a taxi from Taunggyi. 1 hour for a distance of 30 kilometers. The nearest airport to Nyaungshwe (Nyaungshwe) is Heho Airport (HE HO airport), 25 kilometers away. Taxi services are available. When I went, I took a bus from Bagan to Monywa, then a tourist van to Taunggyi. Nyaungshwe (Nyaungshwe) is the main tourist area with accommodations ranging from budget under 1000 baht per night to more expensive options. I recommend staying here. Here's a suggested travel route for Inle Lake: this area has three or four interesting towns: Taunggyi, Nyaungshwe, and Kalaw. Stay two days in Taunggyi to explore the town with cool weather and relax. Stay two nights in Nyaungshwe and Inle Lake for boat tours and city walks. The weather is cool, accommodations are affordable but there is not much to do. If you have work, stay two nights.
If not, one night is enough. I recommend flying from Yangon to Heho, then visiting Kalaw first, followed by two nights at Inle Lake, then Taunggyi to shop for cheap goods.
