About 2 kilometers to the left is the entrance to the morning market. The market has both indoor and outdoor sections. The indoor market sells dry goods and clothing and is very large. The outdoor market in the morning sells fish and vegetables with an atmosphere similar to Mandalay. Actually, if you go very early, you might see the dawn market called the Tien market, but I arrived too late and saw only the closing. The Kalaymyo night market, since the city has no electricity and still uses generator power in some areas, is dark at night. Vendors light their own candles at their stalls.
